A horrific accident on East Boston’s Meridian Street bridge this past New Year’s Eve has left a 16 year old and her 4 year old brother without Aura Beatriz Garcia, their mother. Aura was a single mother of modest means.

This tragic event has also left members of our own Curley community devastated. Aura Beatriz was an aunt of our very own Curley parent Evelyn Alicea.

Though as a community we frequently ask one another to help, and that can be difficult in times like these, I urge you all to try to contribute something if at all possible to help the kids left behind.
