Curley SPC meeting this Wed, 8:45am

Curley K-8 SPC

Hello Curley community. Please join us this coming Wednesday, March 5, at 8:45 am for our monthly meeting of the Curley School Parent Council. The meeting will take place at the Upper School Library, and will feature a light Continental Breakfast (ok, it’s just pastry and coffee, but it will be delicious…). As usual, there is plenty to share and discuss:

  • Silent Auction at Canary Square: Have you marked your calendars yet? March 25 is the night for one of our most fun and most important fundraisers. The Silent Auction team needs your help soliciting auction items and getting ready for the event. There is also an important planning meeting this coming Tuesday night, March 4. If you’re interested in getting involved, please do attend!
  • Advanced Work Class: A group of dedicated Curley parents have been working with faculty and administration on evaluating the way our advanced work program runs at the school. They’ll be providing an update on the exciting things being discussed.
  • Playing field campaign: How close are we to the playing field project becoming a reality? Very close. Come find out more.
  • Budget crisis: The Curley has taken the lead in mobilizing parents, teachers, and others to fight the budget cuts that have been proposed for next year. A lot has happened but there is still so much left to do. Find out how you can get involved.

As usual, there will an overview of other upcoming fundraisers and school events, and an opportunity for parents to bring up issues of concern or interest. And as always, Spanish language interpretation will be available. Have questions or need more information? Answers are just an email away. Hope to see you on Wednesday.
