Like a ray of spring sunshine, it’s the April meeting of the SPC

Curley K-8 SPC

Please join us Wednesday, April 9 at 6pm for the weekly meeting of the School Parent Council. This action-packed event will happen at the Upper School Library – use the Centre Street entrance for convenient access. On this month’s agenda:

  • SPC budget – Our treasurer will provide an update on the Parent Council budget, with information on money raised and spent to date, and what we can expect for the balance of the year. Please note: this discussion is related to the Curley SPC budget, which funds music and other school level activities, and not the larger Boston Public Schools budget.
  • Committee reports – Hear what’s happening with our different committees and working groups, including School Site Council, Fundraising, Health and Wellness, uniform exchange, BPS budget advocacy team, and Global Operations (ok, I made that last one up)

AND, be sure to mark your calendars for these future meetings:

  • May 7, 8:45 am: A chat with Principal Grassa and a presentation by Community Music Center of Boston about The Curley music program
  • June 4, 6pm: SPC elections and highly delicious year-end potluck dinner

Remember, all SPC meetings feature Spanish language interpretation, and evening meetings  include child care and dinner. Getting involved is a great way to meet fellow parents and learn about all the great things happening at Curley. We hope to see you!
