and Welcome Reception for Families
7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
(at the Pershing Road Bridge)
All parents/guardians can meet their child’s teachers, visit classrooms, hear about the curriculum and expectations for the year, and meet (or re-connect with) other Curley parents! We will provide a light dinner.

Todos los padres y personas legalmente responsables por los estudiantes estan invitados a la escuela Curley K-8 para que vengan a conocer los maestros de su hijo/hija. Visite los salones de clase, los maestros les explicaran el curriculo y las expectativas para este ano escolar. Asegurense de recibir una copia del curriculum.

UPDATE –
One of the Curley K-8’s invaluable partners, The Harvard Achievement Support Initiative (HASI), will also be distributing Grade-appropriate bags of curriculum materials and school supplies to each student’s family. These supplies with be available in classrooms during the Open House.

Does anyone know if the classrooms are open from 5-7? Or is there a dinner first in the upper school cafeteria (I think they did this last year) and then classroom visits? Is there a rough schedule in place for the 5-7 part? Trying coordinate childcare, etc. Thanks!

Lisa, the classrooms are open from 5pm to 7pm since presentations by teachers will happen in their own classrooms. Individual teachers set their own agendas in terms of how they plan to present their information. The reception will also start at 5pm as well. We don’t, however, want to interfere with the teachers’ presentations since that is the main event as it were, hence the scheduled 7pm “official” start to the reception. The reception will be on the bridge on the Pershing Road side. Hope this helps!
