HAPPY NEW YEAR Curley Friends and Families! Here are some brief updates and notifications for you from the School Parent Council “SPC”…
1) TECHNOLOGY FUNDRAISER: In one short (and busy) month the Curley Community managed to raise $16,000 for four (4) new laptop carts for our students. We are proud and grateful for the success of this campaign! The links will remain active for the next 3 weeks while we receive final pledge payments. Any additional donations will also go toward technology. We cannot Thank you enough for your support.
2) NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE FOR CURLEY FRIENDS AND FAMILIES: Come join your Curley friends, families to an awesome EVENING AT THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE on Friday, January 22nd 5:00-9:00 PM. Tickets are only $5.00 per person (parking is $5) Buy event tickets at: www.biddingforgood.com/curleyk8 (“Live Event” / Order Tickets) or send in cash/check to your teacher with backpack flyer you’ll receive this week.
3) WINTER COAT DRIVE: We need (new or used/washed) Hats, Gloves, Boots and any Snow Gear in ALL sizes. However, snow suits/pants and boots are especially needed for ages 3-6 to go outside during school *If you have ANY articles to donate, please drop off at either school office or you can email Riyo at: Riyo1979@hotmail.com to make arrangements. Thank you.
4) EXTENDED LEARNING TIME (ELT): Next School Year the Curley will be adding 40 minutes to our school day. We will begin at 8:30 am and end at 3:10 pm. Come learn more at the Principal Breakfast this Friday AND at the next SPC meeting on 1/13. Feel free to reach out to the ELT team with any questions and/or concerns if you are unable to make these meetings. 7) CURLEY SPC (P2P) WEBSITE COMING SOON! Be on the lookout for the Curley K8 SPC “Parent-To-Parent” website and directory where bulletins like these will be available. You will receive an email invitation to complete what specific information you wish to be available exclusively to other Curley parents in order to communicate, organize, and stay informed about issues and events at our school and district wide.
