Spring Concerts: Over the past couple of months students have received pink and purple flyers home about our spring performances.

Boosterthon: The SPC will be hosting an EOY fundraiser to support our school called Boosterthon! We’re officially 4 weeks out from kicking off our Fun Run program. New Student Welcome Sessions: Calling all Curley Families to help us welcoming our incoming families for SY 2018-2019. We will host two events, one for K1 families on Wednesday, May 30th from 9am-10am and Friday, June 8th from 9am-10am. We are looking for families to share about their experience at the Curley and no prior experience is necessary. Please email Arusha Hollister arusha_h@yahoo.com if you are interested in helping us.

Summer Reading Initiative Returns to the Curley: Again this year, all students in Grades k-8 will be asked to take a pledge to read daily over the summer months and to maintain a log of this reading. In addition, students entering grades 4 through 8 will be expected to read one additional book. as assigned by their classroom teacher and in coordination with the BPS and Boston Public Library initiative, “Summer Reading Together”. Packets of information, including the summer reading pledge, reading bingo activity, and logs are now being finalized and will be distributed to classroom teachers the week of June 11th. Please contact Eileen Cronin, ecronin@bostonpublicschools.org, (Gr. 3-8) or Caitlyn Gable, cmcsheffrey@bostonpublicschools.org, (Gr. K-2) by end of day Friday, June 8th if you have specific questions regarding summer reading program.

Sole Train: The Curley Sole Train team ran in Boston’s Run to Remember on Sunday, May 27th. Students, parents and volunteers ran in the 5 mile and half-marathon. The kids trained all year and had a great time. If you see any students wearing their Sole Train shirts on Tuesday June 5 – give them a Congrats!

2018 BPS Climate Survey – Due 6/15/2018: Parent, Teacher, and Student Climate Surveys were released online on March 12th. Chromebooks and document cameras will be awarded to schools with high parent participation rates and the greatest improvement in parent participation. We are asking teachers to have students complete these in class and for families to complete these as well. Any families who need access to technology can complete these at the school with us. We will use this data to plan for next school year and really value the feedback! https://www.bostonpublicschools.org/climatesurvey

Last Day of School: The last day of school is Thursday, June 28th. We will have early release days with dismissal at 1pm on Wednesday, June 27th and Thursday, June 28th.

CASP: The last day of the Curley After School Program is Tuesday, June 27th. There will be NO after school programming on Wednesday, June 27th or Thursday, June 28th.
