The communications planning meeting of the School Parent Council was held tonight. We met to discuss strategies for lobbying the Boston School Committee for the next two months to avert the Committee’s proposed budget cuts.

We will lobby the School Committee from now until the final budget meeting on March 28th. In addition, we will lobby our City Council representatives. We will also pursue other avenues of action including, as individual parents, involvement in city-wide education coalitions that seek to prevent the proposed budget cuts.

Then wear your Curley shirt and meet us on the left side entrance of 26 Court Street tomorrow, Wednesday 18th at 5;30pm. The meeting begins at 6pm. Let’s advocate for our school and for our children!
