8th Grade Washington, D.C. Trip Fundraiser

THIS Wednesday, April 24, from 5 pm. – 9 p.m. at Bella Luna, there will be a fundraiser for the annual 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C.

Come listen to live music by our former Curley music teacher Mike Flangan and enjoy free appetizers! There will also be fun raffle prizes to bid on.

PACE Fundraiser

Jill Wudarczyk and Rachel Altman of the Center for STEM Education at Northeaster University, in partnership with our own teacher Colleen Leary, are helping to raise much needed money for our PACE Program, the Curley’s own highly regarded Autism education strand program.

This program has enhanced the lives of many students at the Curley who are living with the everyday challenges of being autistic. However, because of a limited budget the teachers are restricted to just how much they can provide the students.  A Facebook page and Twitter account are up and running to gather support for this cause and to keep everyone updated once the actual details of the event come out.

Most importantly, there’s a Causevox site that accepts online donations. New technology, techniques, and tools are being created every day to help autistic students learn. We hope to provide some of the newest supplies available to give these students the best school experience they can have!

A total of $460 at the time of writing has been raised, but please help them reach their goal of $1,000. The link again is: http://curleypace.causevox.com/.

13th Annual Plant Sale

It’s still chilly out but Spring IS here – there is no surer sign then the 13th annual Curley Plant Sale on Saturday, April 27th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.!

Buy your annuals, herbs and vegetables and support the Curley. There will also be a bake sale so please sign up here if you can contribute a delicious treat.

This is one of our biggest and most important fundraisers of the year. Mark your calendars now, then stop by on the 27th for for plants, baked goods, or fun kid activities – and tell your friends and neighbors!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to set up, selling plants, or clean up after the sale. Kids are welcome and encouraged to attend! So please sign up online!
