Heshan Berents-Weeramuni

This week’s Paw Prints from Interim Principal Mirna Vega-Wilson:

  • Sports is alive at the Curley! The Baseball team has won two of their five games and the Girls Volleyball team has won the Township Championship! Great job Mr. Bertoni, Ms. Mercado and Ms. Riccardi.
  • We have completed the MCAS testing! Kudos to everyone for making sure that the environment at the Curley was conducive to providing the best for our students in grades 3 – 8 so that they could concentrate on taking the MCAS tests.
  • Today is the last day that you can respond to the uniform survey! We want to make sure everyone’s voice is heard. Click here to respond to the uniform survey.
  • As we approach the final month of school we want to make sure that all of our students are in school everyday! We have a lot of work to accomplish, including end of the year assessments and some fun activities as well. We do not want you to miss out!
  • June 27th and 28th are the final two days of school. These will be half days and dismissal will be at 12:30 pm.
  • Parent Liza Stearns and her colleagues from the National Park Service worked with the Mr. Barry’s third grade to visit Olmsted National Historic Site to take part in our award-winning program, “Good Neighbors: Landscape Design & Community Building.” As is typical for the program, the class went to the park for the first part of the program, and then the second part of the program (12:20-1:40) took place back in Mr. Barry’s classroom. During this portion of the program students designed parks and presented their design ideas in the form of scale models. Thank you Liza for sharing this amazing experience with our students!
