If you missed last month’s AMAZING Black History Month performance, don’t worry! Our Curley students are doing a repeat performance for families on the evening of Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm in the Upper School Auditorium.
The Black History Month Celebration, Striving for Excellence, Multicultural Salute, will include the following student presentations:
- A Salute to Three Black Pioneers (Dr. King, Nikki Giovanni and President Obama)
- Multicultural Salute (Hip Hop, African American/Caribbean and Latino dance)
- Cultural Fashion Show
- Visual Art – Historical Time Line (Art display)
There will also be a Keynote Speaker from the Community and there will be a chance to sample Multicultural foods. Please come see our talented performers, learn some history, and consider making a donation in support of our the upcoming Service Learning trip to St. Croix that some of our Upper School students will do over April vacation.
To see a terrific collage from the original performance in February, visit our photo gallery – thanks to Curley parent John Bluthardt for the collage.
