Bullying Prevention Workshop for Parents of Students with Disabilities

  • Sponsored by Spedpac in partnership with the Boston Public Schools
  • Led by bullying prevention experts Kim Storey, Ed.D., Ron Slaby, Ph.D., and Ed Donnelly
  • Bullying Prevention and Research Institute, Education Development Center, Newton, MA

Are you concerned about bullying in children’s lives? Do you want to learn—and help your child learn—how to deal with bullying?

This workshop addresses the challenges of dealing with bullying involving students with disabilities.  It provides an opportunity to work together with the Boston Public Schools to ensure effective bullying prevention for all students.  Parents will learn effective strategies they can use with students to prevent and stop bullying.  The presentation includes important information on the Massachusetts Bullying Prevention and Intervention Law, especially as it applies to students with disabilities.  Parents will learn how IEP Team meetings can include strategies to help students develop appropriate skills to understand, prevent, and stop bullying.

Please join us at our General Meetings.  The stronger we are together, the louder our voice will be heard.
