The Fifth Annual Curley Silent Auction at Canary Square was a resounding success. Jess Ormsby, parent fundraising co-chair, is happy to report that over $13,000 was raised, which is 20% better than last year. Fantastic!
Huge thanks all around for the incredible number of people and businesses who donated their goods and services, and for those who bid on these items.
A complete donor list of individuals and businesses is here. Please thank them again when you see them next. The Curley School is blessed to have such strong community partners!
We are also very grateful to Mike Moxley and everyone at Canary Square for being such enthusiastic and generous hosts.
Most of all, many, many thanks are due to the tireless, unfailing efforts of all the parents who donated their time and energy in helping to organize such a successful event. They include the following: coordinator Jess Ormsby, Lisa Foulger, Flo Zimmerman, Laura Kollett, Jon Gummer, Sara Mallach, Inci Kaya, Susan Elsbree, Jenny Connolly, Molly Mariano, Kristin Shapiro, Pam Yosca, Daryn Stylianopoulos, Ashley Wiest-Laird and Bill Elsbree. Thank you all!
The Curley School Parent Council raises funds each year to supplement art, music and science education. It also helps with meetings and programs that enrich the core curriculum, and engage parents and the larger community in the academic and social education of our students. The largest initiative that is supported is a collaboration with the Community Music Center of Boston that brings instructors into the school three days a week to teach music to all grades.

So glad this event went as well as it did. The whole team was fun, smart, creative and effective to work together with. Really enjoyed being able to contribute to the school via such a neat and exciting project…
Cheers,

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who put in so much effort to make this such a fantastic (and successful!) event! Clearly many hours were spent planning, organizing and executing. It was a great night – well done.
