No weekend plans and a household that’ll get antsy? Here are 3 things to try:
- Sunday: 2012 Walk Now for Autism Speaks
Join the Curley Team for this Sunday’s 2012 Walk Now for Autism Speaks led by PACE instructor Collen Leary. Learn more. - Saturday: Fall Fling Raffle Sales or Basket Making
Volunteer this Saturday to sell raffle tickets for the Fall Fling outside JP Licks. This is only a two hour commitment, is with other Curley families, and can be very fun. Sign up for shifts on Saturday through our Doodle Poll (don’t forget to expand the columns, a total of three families per shift would be great. Slots are also available for Saturday, October 6). We managed to raise a hair short of $1,500 over the course of this past Saturday and Sunday so we are well in the swing of things! More volunteers are always welcome. Alternately, spend this Saturday creating a themed basket to raffle. Contact Jennifer Taub for more information, or fill out her handy Google Doc, noting the basket you’d like to create. - Saturdays starting in October: Science Club for Girls
Our long time partner Northeastern University has announced that there are still slots open for the Science Club for Girls chapter at Northeastern for this semester. An activity held on Saturdays, the Science Club for Girls provides free, hands-on science and engineering programs to over 1,000 girls in five cities in eastern Massachusetts (Cambridge, Lawrence, Boston, Newton and Fitchburg), and in Pokuase, Ghana. Visit the Science Club for Girls website.
