SPC Election Day Bake Sale
The SPC Election Day Bake Sale raises money for Curley Arts and Programing. Sell delicious baked goods to your fellow citizens, while watching democracy in action. This is a one day event that needs volunteers to sell goods on Election Day, November 8th, so pair up with a friend, or make a new friend while helping out. Also we need volunteers to donate items, such as sandwiches, cakes, cookies, coffee, apple cider, or any other item. Lets join together on this historic day and support our school. Click HERE to volunteer.
8th Grade High School Information Night
We invite all 8th Grade Parents and Families to attend our “High School Information Night” on Thursday, November 3rd at 5:30-7:30pm. Stop by the Curley to learn about the high school application process and discover a variety of high school options. Dinner and Childcare will be provided. A RSVP form for this event was distributed today. If you plan to attend, please have your child return the RSVP form to their homeroom teacher by Friday, October 22nd.
Curley School Musical
Do you have a 3rd-5th grade student who likes to act, sing or dance? Rehearsals for “The Lion King” will begin soon and students who are interested are invited to come to the first meeting, which will be Monday, October 24th from 3pm-4:30pm in the auditorium. To see more about the program visit Disney Musicals in Schools or talk to Ms. Taylor Knight (ktaylorknight@bostonpublicschools.org) or Ms. Alves (evarela@bostonpublicschools.org).
Curley Shares
Thursday marks the start of our Curley Shares for the school year. All students will attend an assembly with their buddy classrooms and some students will be recognized for CARING since school started. Be sure to ask your child about the experience and know that these will occur monthly moving forward.
Halloween
The Curley K-8 will not have a Halloween celebration during the school day. As a community we are focused on health and wellness and therefore we ask that all candy remain at home. We are also asking that students leave all costumes, masks and face painting at home as well. Thank you in advance for your support around this matter.
Tenacity
Tenacity has a few open spots remaining for 6th grade students at the Curley School.
